Have you ever received the following error message while trying to remove a file or folder in XP? "Cannot remove file/folder: It is being used by another person or program"

I can give some situations that this become really a problem
  • On trying to remove temporary files
  • File in a damaged pen drive (Access is denied )
  • On trying to delete virus infected files or even virus itself
  • While you put your hand on files currently run by the system (check task manager - process tab)
  • Windows files
  • While removing uninstalled program's files
  • Protected files and the list extended going on..

  • But simple software's like Killbox will help you in almost all the above situations.
  • Killbox is a free simple software but has a nice interface to remove Access  denied/in process/shared/write-protected/locked  /currently in use files or folders with just one or two clicks.
  • It has very low in size (97 KB) that may be put at your desktop that will handy in such annoying situations. All you have to do is select the desired file, then choose the removal method
  • And press X button. You can download killbox from here
